Alarming Rise in Pakistan-Parasti and Pattharbazi: Shehzad Poonawalla Slams Khurshid’s Admission

Pakistan-Parasti

In a sharp political attack, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has taken strong exception to senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid’s recent admission concerning the increasing influence of Pakistan-Parasti, Pattharbazi, and the broader Problem of Pakistan in certain regions. The remarks have triggered a fierce political debate, reigniting conversations around national security and internal subversion.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Poonawalla said Khurshid’s acknowledgment of the rising tide of Pakistan-Parasti reflects the Congress party’s failure to tackle issues that directly threaten India’s integrity and unity.

The Problem of Pakistan-Parasti Gaining Momentum

According to Poonawalla, Pakistan-Parasti — or sympathy towards Pakistan’s ideologies — has been on the rise, particularly in conflict-prone areas. This trend, he asserted, cannot be taken lightly. “When senior leaders begin to accept that Pakistan-Parasti, Pattharbazi, and the Problem of Pakistan are increasing, it shows that the previous governments were complicit in either ignoring or nurturing these dangerous developments,” Poonawalla stated.

He stressed that such attitudes not only undermine the morale of Indian forces but also embolden anti-national elements. Poonawalla urged the public to understand the gravity of what Khurshid has implicitly admitted, calling it an “alarming and dangerous trend.”

Pattharbazi and Radicalization: A Connected Concern

Shehzad Poonawalla didn’t stop at Pakistan-Parasti. He further linked the rise in Pattharbazi (stone pelting) with radicalized youth influenced by separatist and pro-Pakistan ideologies. “We’ve seen young minds being poisoned through extremist narratives, and this is being glossed over by opposition leaders under the guise of democratic freedoms,” he said.

According to him, incidents of Pattharbazi have often coincided with increased infiltration attempts from across the border, suggesting a coordinated strategy influenced by Pakistan-Parasti sympathizers within India.

Congress’ Role in Fueling the Problem of Pakistan

Referring to Khurshid’s statement, Poonawalla slammed the Congress for creating a political atmosphere that allowed Pakistan-Parasti to thrive. “Khurshid’s own words show that under Congress rule, there was a disturbing leniency towards separatist behavior and those promoting divisive ideologies,” he remarked.

Poonawalla emphasized that the Congress should be held accountable for failing to curb these issues and instead, indirectly legitimizing them by ignoring the long-term consequences.

National Unity Versus Pakistan-Parasti

The BJP spokesperson highlighted that the Modi government has taken strong steps to dismantle networks of Pakistan-Parasti and enforce strict measures against Pattharbazi in volatile areas. “Under PM Modi’s leadership, we have shown that the Indian state will no longer tolerate the glorification of Pakistan in any form on Indian soil,” he said.

He credited the abrogation of Article 370 and the zero-tolerance policy against terrorism as key decisions that have significantly reduced the space for Pakistan-Parasti to operate freely.

A Wake-Up Call for the Nation

Poonawalla concluded by stating that Khurshid’s admission should serve as a wake-up call for every Indian. “It’s not just about one leader or one party. It’s about how deeply Pakistan-Parasti has penetrated certain segments of our society, and what we must collectively do to combat it,” he warned.

He urged the media, civil society, and political stakeholders to rise above partisan politics and come together to defeat the mindset of Pakistan-Parasti and restore national unity.

Final Thoughts

The controversy stirred by Shehzad Poonawalla’s remarks underscores the growing concern over internal threats that mirror external aggression. As the nation debates Khurshid’s revelations, one thing remains clear — the issue of Pakistan-Parasti is no longer limited to border skirmishes or political rhetoric; it has become a domestic challenge that demands collective action.

In an era of increasing polarization, tackling Pakistan-Parasti is not just a matter of political expediency but one of national survival and integrity. The time to act is now.
