Assam’s Tamulpur Hospital Makes History With First-Ever C-Section Delivery

Guwahati, Jun 16: Tamulpur Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in Assam has successfully conducted its first-ever caesarean section (C-section) delivery, marking a significant development in the region’s healthcare services.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the milestone on Monday through his official X handle. He wrote, “Quality healthcare in every nook and corner of Assam,” and described the event as “the first of many” achievements for the hospital.

The Chief Minister also stated, “Be it Civil Hospital or Medical College, we are strengthening them all,” indicating the state government’s continued efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure across Assam.
