  • Infrastructure Enhancement: The Public Works Department was tasked with conducting a feasibility study for a proposed railway overbridge at Nahar Ali, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion.
  • Agricultural Support: The district administration was instructed to closely monitor agricultural conditions, particularly in light of below-average rainfall, and to ensure the readily available supply of the Bina 11 seed variety to farmers.

  • Water Resource Management: Deputy Commissioner Pranabjit Kakoty was instructed to develop ‘Amrit Sarovar’ ponds, promoting pisciculture and local livelihoods.
  • Flood Resilience: Emphasis was placed on strengthening embankments and constructing raised platforms to provide vital assistance and refuge to communities during flood events, a recurrent challenge in the region.

The meeting in Nowboicha was attended by Minister Ranoj Pegu, MLA Manab Deka, and other senior officials, highlighting the government’s dedicated efforts in tackling region-specific challenges through Assam development projects.
