Rain Triggers Floods And Landslides

 Continuous heavy rainfall has led to worsening flood conditions in Arunachal Pradesh, impacting more than 3,000 people across 23 districts, officials reported on Wednesday.

The State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) confirmed that 12 people have lost their lives due to landslides and floods caused by the ongoing monsoon rains. Search operations continue for two missing persons.

Fresh landslides were reported in Dibang Valley and Anjaw districts, as well as along the Likabali-Aalo highway near Magi and Siji, disrupting road traffic. Several major rivers in the state remain in spate, raising concerns of further flooding.
