The ceremonies, led by Pramod Boro, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC, saw the inception of two key projects that will serve as cornerstones for future Bodo cultural initiatives:

• BCAA Office-cum-Guest House:
  • Location: Planned for Choto Adabari, conveniently located near Kokrajhar town.
  • Estimated Cost: This crucial facility for the Bodo Cine Artistes Association (BCAA) is projected to cost Rs 1.50 crore, a substantial investment in local cinematic talent.
  • Historical Significance: The site chosen for the BCAA office holds deep historical resonance. It is the revered burial ground of distinguished litterateur Late Mahini Mohan Brahma and former MP Samar Brahma Choudhury. CEM Boro has pledged further development and beautification of this area, transforming it into a respectful homage to these luminaries, thereby intertwining cinematic growth with historical preservation as part of broader Bodo cultural initiatives.
• Ostad Kamini Kr Narzary Bhawan:
  • Location: This new cultural hub is set to be constructed at Baganshali.

Government’s Vision for Bodo Cultural Initiatives

• New Cinema Halls: Six new cinema halls are currently under development across the BTC region, a significant expansion of entertainment infrastructure.
• Existing Facilities: One digi-cinema hall has already been successfully inaugurated in Serfanguri, setting a precedent for modern cinematic experiences.
• Future Plans: An ambitious plan for a 500-seat Tikendrajit Narzary (Jalakho) Digital Cinema hall in Kokrajhar was also announced, poised to become a central hub for film enthusiasts and a major boost to Bodo cultural initiatives in the area.

• Historical Documentation: CEM Boro has generously offered Rs 25 lakh in support for DBHA activists dedicated to compiling a comprehensive 100-year history of Bodo culture.
