Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has announced ongoing efforts to revamp Ïewduh Market following a recent field visit to the area. Taking to his official Facebook handle on Wednesday, Sangma informed that a follow-up meeting was held with concerned teams to outline a plan of action.
The proposed initiatives aim to address key concerns raised during the visit, including waste management, removal of hanging electricity wires, improvement of drainage systems, and provision of electricity to the farmers’ wholesale market.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism about the progress and future of the iconic market, often referred to as Shillong’s favourite.
