PM Modi Slams Trinamool for Corruption and Appeasement Politics in Bengal

In a scathing attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for West Bengal to be liberated from the grip of corruption and appeasement politics.

‘Bengal Deserves Better Than Corruption and Appeasement Politics’

Addressing a massive rally in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a direct swipe at the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government. He alleged that the people of Bengal have been suffering due to entrenched corruption and appeasement politics, which he said have stunted the state’s development and peace.

“The time has come for Bengal to break free from the shackles of violence, corruption and appeasement politics. The youth are demanding opportunities, women are seeking security, and the poor want justice,” Modi declared, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

A Call for Change Amid Growing Frustration

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a crucial time as the political atmosphere in Bengal heats up ahead of upcoming elections. Modi accused the Trinamool government of prioritizing vote bank interests over genuine welfare, labeling its governance as deeply rooted in corruption and appeasement politics.

“The culture of fear and political violence, combined with unchecked corruption and appeasement politics, has dragged Bengal backwards. People are fed up and looking for a clean and decisive government,” Modi said.

He further emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stands for transparency, accountability, and inclusive development — in stark contrast to what he described as the divisive and self-serving rule of the Trinamool Congress.

Modi Vows to Restore Bengal’s Lost Glory

Modi expressed deep concern over the state’s declining industrial and educational standards, blaming it on the state’s leadership which he claimed is too preoccupied with corruption and appeasement politics to focus on real issues.

“Bengal was once the cradle of education, culture, and enterprise. But now, due to the politics of corruption and appeasement, it has lost its stature. Our mission is to bring back Bengal’s lost glory,” the Prime Minister added.

Corruption and Appeasement Politics Harming Social Harmony

In his address, Modi also linked corruption and appeasement politics to the erosion of social harmony in the state. He claimed that the divisive policies have led to communal tension and lawlessness.

“Appeasement politics has only increased polarization, sidelined merit, and fostered injustice. Meanwhile, corruption has ensured that only a privileged few benefit from state schemes while the poor remain neglected,” he asserted.

Public Sentiment Turns Against Status Quo

BJP leaders present at the rally echoed the Prime Minister’s sentiments. They claimed that the growing support from people across regions signals a strong wave of change. Grassroots frustration with corruption and appeasement politics, they said, is reaching a tipping point.

Modi also interacted with local residents during his visit, who expressed concerns over irregularities in welfare schemes, law and order issues, and widespread unemployment.

Conclusion: Vision for a New Bengal

Prime Minister Modi concluded his speech by urging the people of Bengal to unite against corruption and appeasement politics and support a government that promises development, dignity, and safety.

“Together, we can build a new Bengal — a Bengal that celebrates its culture, empowers its people, and rejects corruption and appeasement politics forever,” he said.

As the state moves toward another high-stakes election, the narrative of ending corruption and appeasement politics is likely to remain at the heart of political discourse, with both supporters and critics weighing in heavily on the promises made from both sides.
