Authorities recovered a two-page suicide note from the vehicle, wherein Praveen Mittal confessed to being under a debt of approximately ₹20 crore. He expressed remorse for the situation and requested that his father-in-law not be held responsible. Connection to Dehradun and Kaulagarh Residence
The family had previously resided in Kaulagarh, Dehradun, before relocating to Panchkula. Dehradun City Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kumar, confirmed their past residence in Kaulagarh but noted that they had no remaining ties to the city.
Attendance at Religious Event Prior to the Tragedy
On the day of the incident, the family attended a spiritual discourse by Bageshwar Dham’s Baba Dhirendra Shastri in Panchkula. Following the event, they were found deceased in their car, suggesting a possible connection between the event and their subsequent actions.
